Our First International Conference— Kenya 2025

In July 2025, Benevolence United had the incredible privilege of sending a team of four trainers to Naivasha, Kenya, for our first international disability ministry conference and Luke 14 Banquet- a collaborative effort with our partners at New Hope Centre.

Equipping Church Leaders

On July 19, our team led six disability-inclusive ministry workshops with over 60 churches represented, 27 pastors, 15 teachers, and 18 disability advocates.

Together, we explored practical ways churches can become places where individuals with disabilities are welcomed, valued, discipled, and empowered to serve. Participants engaged in meaningful discussion, hands-on learning, and collaborative planning for disability-inclusive ministry in their local communities.

"Ministry done with and by individuals with disabilities is powerful and glorifies God "

— Pastor Beth Murunga, Kenya

Luke 14 Banquet in Action

On July 20, the training moved beyond the classroom and into the community.

Our team, alongside New Hope’s amazing volunteers, invited and transported individuals with disabilities and their families from surrounding villages to Kinungi Church, where for the first time they experienced worship, fellowship, encouragement from God's Word, and a shared meal.

For the church and the participants, this was the first time they had experienced such intentional inclusion within a church setting.

The day beautifully reflected Luke 14:21-23:

"Bring in the poor, the crippled, the blind and the lame... so that my house will be full."

Building a Sustainable Future

Our goal was never simply to host a conference—it was to equip local leaders for lasting impact.

As part of this partnership, Benevolence United:

  • Donated four complete disability ministry training modules

  • Provided ministry equipment and resources to New Hope Centre and Apostolic Church in Uganda

  • Equipped local leaders to facilitate future training independently

  • Distributed Bibles, Audio Bibles, Braille ministry materials, white canes, T-shirts, and suitcases filled with ministry supplies

These resources will continue supporting churches and families throughout the region long after our team has returned home.

We believe this Holy Spirit-led team will multiply the mission, teaching and equipping others throughout their region for years to come.

Looking Ahead

We are grateful for the partnership with New Hope Centre and the many church leaders who embraced the vision of disability-inclusive ministry.

The seeds planted during Hope Conference 2025 are already creating opportunities for continued training, ministry development, and greater inclusion throughout Kenya.

Please continue praying for:

  • Church leaders, as they implement what they learned

  • Individuals with disabilities and their families throughout the region

  • New Hope Centre as they continue this work locally

  • Future opportunities to equip churches both in Kenya and around the world

Thank you to everyone who prayed, donated resources, and supported our first international mission. Your partnership helped make this life-changing opportunity possible.
